Our Content Philosophy
Qexle publishes content to inform and educate across a range of topics: health and behavioral science, technology reviews, history and geography, social issues, and practical guides. Every article we publish must meet three criteria: it must be accurate (grounded in verifiable sources), practical (useful to readers), and transparent (sourced with citations to primary material).
We distinguish between editorial content (researched and reviewed articles) and product pages (descriptions of Qexle-built software). Product pages are labeled as such and are not represented as independent editorial content.
Authorship & Expertise
Articles on Qexle are written by the editorial team or guest contributors with relevant knowledge. Health and medical content (including behavioral science, addiction, and mental health) is reviewed for alignment with current medical guidelines and cites primary sources (CDC, NHS, Cochrane, peer-reviewed journals).
Technology reviews are based on hands-on testing by the author. History and educational content draws on primary sources and academic scholarship. All contributors are named in their bylines with relevant context about their background.
Fact-Checking & Citations
All factual claims in Qexle content are supported by citations to primary sources: peer-reviewed academic journals, official government publications, authoritative industry bodies, and primary historical documents. We use DOI links for academic papers and direct links to original sources where available.
Our citation standards require: at least one inline citation per 200 words of substantive factual content, attribution to named researchers or specific institutions rather than generic references, and links to the original source rather than secondary summaries.
Content Updates & Freshness
We review and update articles on a schedule to ensure accuracy. Each article displays a published date so readers can assess freshness. Significant new research or developments that affect an article's claims lead us to update the content within a reasonable timeframe.
Content that becomes outdated or no longer reflects current best practices is either updated in full or removed. Redirects are implemented for removed content to prevent broken links.
Corrections Policy
We are committed to correcting errors fast and in the open. If you identify an error in our content, please contact us with the subject line "Content Correction" and include the article URL and the specific claim in question.
Our correction process: (1) Your report is acknowledged within 48 hours. (2) The claim is verified against primary sources. (3) If an error is confirmed, the content is updated and a correction notice is appended noting what changed and when. (4) Significant corrections are logged for periodic review.
Minor corrections (typos, formatting) are made without notice. Substantive corrections (factual errors, outdated statistics) include a visible changelog entry at the bottom of the affected page.
Sensitive Topics & Private Content
Qexle publishes content on sensitive topics including conspiracy theories, religious discussions, and controversial social issues. Such content is labeled and maintained under our standard citation requirements. Some articles on sensitive topics are designated as private and not listed on the public articles index. These articles remain accessible via direct link and are held to the same editorial standards.
AI & Automation Disclosure
All content on Qexle is researched and written by human authors with relevant subject matter expertise. We do not publish AI-generated content without human editorial oversight. AI tools may be used as research assistants (to identify relevant studies or suggest structural organization), but all claims, citations, and final copy are verified and approved by a human author. This disclosure aligns with industry guidelines on AI-generated content.
